About Guilford 24/7 Plumbing

Guilford 24/7 Plumbing is an emergency plumbing dispatch line for Guilford, Connecticut and the shoreline towns beside it. This page explains what that means for you, what we promise and what we do not.

What we do

We answer the phone around the clock and arrange licensed, insured plumbers for emergencies and planned work. The line takes the first call, asks what you see and sends the right kind of plumber. We publish information on this site so you know what to expect before the plumber arrives.

Our address is 1445 Boston Post Road, Guilford, CT 06437. We take calls by phone, not by web form, because a burst pipe cannot wait for an email reply. See the contact page for hours, email and a map.

What we promise

These are the commitments we make on every call.

  • A clear price before work starts. You hear the number before the plumber begins, and you can say no.
  • Licensed and insured plumbers. You can ask for a license number at the door and check it.
  • Same-day appointments when available. Availability depends on the day and the weather, and the dispatcher tells you honestly what is possible.
  • Plain explanations. The plumber explains the cause and the options in terms you can follow.

How to check any plumber's Connecticut license

The Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection licenses plumbing work. Its plumbing classes include P-1, the unlimited plumbing contractor, and P-2, the unlimited journeyperson plumber, who may work only in the employ of a licensed contractor. Heating, piping and cooling work, including boilers, falls under separate S-series classes, and burner and gas work have their own B and G classes.

You can check a license on the state's license lookup. The Guilford Building Department also asks for a valid state license and liability insurance when a permit is applied for. That applies to us and to any contractor you hire.

What we do not do on this site

This site does not carry customer reviews, star ratings or case studies, and it does not list prices, because the work found at the property sets the price. It does not claim awards or memberships. If that changes, the page will say so with proof.

Where this site cites a fact about Guilford or a nearby town, it comes from the town's own documents, the state, the Census Bureau, NOAA, FEMA or a utility's published report. Where a number could not be confirmed from a primary source, we left it out.

Where we work

We dispatch to Guilford, Madison, Branford, North Branford and Clinton. The service area page explains what differs between them, and the services page lists what we handle.

What happens on a call

The same five steps apply whether the problem is a burst pipe at midnight or a slow drain on a Tuesday.

Where the facts on this site come from

The local detail on these pages is drawn from public records. For Guilford that means the town's plan of conservation and development, its health, building and engineering departments, the Connecticut Water quality report for the Guilford System, FEMA flood maps, NOAA storm records and climate normals, and the Connecticut State Building Code. Housing figures for nearby towns come from the Census Bureau's American Community Survey.

We use those sources because a plumbing page should help you decide something. If a page mentions that Guilford has no municipal sewer, it is because the town's own plan says so, and because it changes what a plumber checks when a drain backs up.
